Dorota Schleiss

Producer

Producer, production manager, location manager; graduated from Journalism and Public Relations and Administration at the University of Wroclaw and Production at the Mastershot Film School in Wroclaw. Since 2018 she has been active in the Young Producers Section of KIPA and in the Polish Filmmakers Association. In the course of her studies, she has made more than a dozen etudes and short films that have had success in Poland and internationally.

In cooperation with Centrala Film she made "Pardon" and "Th Republic of Children" directed by Jan Jakub Kolski, and as a location manager and production coordinator she worked on Marek Lechki films "Interior" (produced by Telemark) and 'A Hole in the Head' by Piotr Subbotko (produced by Argomedia) as well as the series ' House under Two Eagles' directed by Waldemar Krzystek (produced by Kosmos Film) and the German TV series 'Sloborn' (produced by Tempus Film) made for ZDF. Many of the above-mentioned received awards at, among others, the Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia. As a production manager of a documentary film she created the film "Help that threatened with death" awarded at the Polish Film Festival "Fate of the Poles".

 

As an executive producer she made a film "Maria is not alive" directed by Martyna Majewska

(produced by 30 Studio Munka), which premiered at the 60th Krakow Film Festival, and received the Main Prize and the Audience Award at the Youth and Film Festival in Koszalin in 2020. In the same year she made a short film "E-migrant" commissioned by the H. Modrzejewska Theatre in Legnica, presented to the public on the YouTube channel during 4 online premieres. She is the executive producer of the previous 2016 film about Maja Wloszczowska "Road 2 Rio".
